Faithful Watchers:

I usually try to have everyone write journals at least somewhat in-character. This one, however, seems to demand something a little more heartfelt, and it's awfully hard to do that without a heart. So rather than Vexen, you're getting Patricia/Tizzy instead. I hope that my voice is at least as interesting to read as my character's is.

Life has a way of flowing on even when you'd rather rest on the shore. We're all over the age of eighteen now, finding our way as best we can. We've been scattered by colleges, jobs, or sometimes both. Xigbar lives in Hawaii now, if you can believe that. I think we have all known for a while that this day was coming, but no one wanted to write a journal on it. That would have made the news official, and the finality of such an announcement seemed to unnerve all of us. After more than a year of silence (and a little motivation from our friends at ~AfterlifeUSEC), I've decided that it's time to let you all know what's up.

You probably figured out that we'd disbanded as a group long before any of us admitted it. This conclusion is completely correct. We apologize for not saying anything sooner. It's not something that we were happy about. However, we could not afford to continue the repairs that our costumes required after every outing, nor could we have much of a group if only two or three of us could make a convention or photoshoot. We also lost the meeting space that housed all fourteen of us, so there was nowhere for us to get together anymore. Unfortunately, we decided that the odds weren't going to be stacked in our favor again and quit while we were ahead. This  is something that we'll miss.

The trailers for Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance show the return of Lea, the man that Axel used to be. The hypothesis that all of the former Nobodies just *might* live again gives me a weird peace with the end of our cosplay group. Maybe I'm just waxing poetic. Maybe I'm just a little nuts. But maybe it's time to let those characters rest, to go about their normal lives like the rest of us must do. We'll all find our peace after everything's said and done. That's what I hope, anyway.

That's about it, I'm sad to say. The last thing we have planned is a reunion party this spring, which we'll probably post memories from. One or two of us may still upload pictures once in a while, but for the most part it is safe to assume that our heart-lacking friends are in their tombstone-portals in the Proof of Existence, waiting for their birth by sleep.
